Facilities Management is responsible for the physical development, maintenance, repair, and operation of campus buildings and grounds. We are a service organization comprised of more than 130 full-time employees and 50 students who provide around-the-clock response to facilities and grounds-related issues on campus to keep the buildings, classrooms, and grounds well maintained, clean, and comfortable.
- WRT - Soffit Restoration Work Due to the recent warm weather, the University of Northern Iowa's Facilities Management staff will be actively working on painting the exterior soffit at Wright Hall. This work will start on October 3rd and will be ongoing until the climate is no longer conducive to paint. Weather permitting, work will start on the south side of the building and move on to the east, north and west sides, respectively. A lift will be used during this process; therefore, walkways and prohibited areas around and under the lift will be barricaded, with signage showing the pedestrian travel paths. The south entrance to Wright hall will be closed, except in cases of emergency, while working on that side. An entrance may be closed temporarily to normal traffic but will always be available for emergency exit, these entrances will be posted. UNI's Facilities Management thanks you for your patience during this process of campus maintenance improvement. Please call or email Tony Hanson at 273-3126 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
