Custodial Services

Overview of Services

Custodial Services is responsible for providing cleaning maintenance and support to more than 35 buildings on University of Northern Iowa campus. Services that are provided are funded through general education fund and auxiliary budgets. 

We are responsible for ensuring that facilities are safe, clean, and conducive to learning throughout the campus community. 

What we do

• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors and stairs
• Clean and/ or disinfect classroom table tops, chairs, chalk or white boards 
• Scrub and disinfect bathroom toilets, fixtures, urinals and lavatories
• Clean, polish and/or disinfect entrance glass, drinking fountains, mirrors, common areas and elevators
• Empty trash and recycling paper
• Replace used light bulbs and maintain exit lights
