Heating/Cooling Changeover

Every year during the spring and fall, the buildings on campus change from heating to cooling in the spring and cooling to heating in the fall. This is done around April 15 and October 15, but can differ each year. Weather forecasts are watched closely to determine the appropriate time to changeover. The cooling and heating systems in the buildings do not run simultaneously, and as the temperature fluctuates during these times, setpoints will be harder to attain. The process of changing these systems takes about two weeks to complete.
