The office of Planning and Space Management provides comprehensive facilities space planning, space allocation, and facility data information for the University of Northern Iowa. The purpose of space management is to ensure university resources are planned, maintained, and managed in a way that contributes to the university's mission.

The University of Northern Iowa is rethinking the campus does business by incorporating a Master Plan that embodies UNI's vision locally and globally. Each of the six Task Forces are creating sections of the Master Plan that will be combined into one.

Building History

Rod Library's Building Histories - An in-depth look at every building that has existed on the University of Northern Iowa campus.

Rod Library's University Archives - The University Archives is a collection of about 5,000 linear feet of historically valuable documentary material relating to the University of Northern Iowa. The material, ranging from the 1870's through the current date, attempts to document all facets of life in the UNI community.
