Student Job Descriptions

You may work up to 20 hours per week during the school year due to federal regulations; 40 hours per week in summer and fall/spring/holiday breaks.  Pay starts at $9.50 per hour and you are paid bi-weekly.  Hours range from 5 am to 11:30 pm Monday through Friday.  There is a wide range of jobs available, including:

  • Administration (General office duties, including answering the phones and filing.  Attention to detail, greeting customers, etc.)
     
  • Building Services (general cleaning)
     
  • Campus Supply/Mail Center (stocking shelves & sorting mail)
     
  • Grounds (General cleanup of grounds; picking up debris, mowing, and weeding. Other general maintenance work as assigned. Students don’t work in the winter months, so when snow hits, you will be off until the snow is melted or close to it.)
     
  • Transportation (Prepping cars, washing cars, filling cars up with gasoline, may pick up parts at auto stores
  • Operations & Maintenance
     
  • Mechanical department (Working with area mechanic staff performing manual labor. Must be able to work in a hot or cold environment along with environment is dusty and dirty.) 
     
  • Painters/Carpenters (Working with the staff to perform demolition, moving materials and equipment.  Set up and cleaning of painting projects, surface preparation, area protection and paint application.)
